Nusa Ina
The Nusa Ina project revolves around the work of Anouk Garcia, a Frenchwoman who has been documenting the islands of Indonesia for over two decades. Her stunning images capture the incredible diversity of the archipelago and the lives of its indigenous peoples in a deeply respectful, sensitive narratives that takes into account the context and dynamics that shape their lives.
“Nusa Ina” is a photographic journey through the archipelago that pays tribute to the nature and wealth of the people of Indonesia, highlight the unique biodiversity of the islands and their indigenous people. This work attempts to expose and archive these cultures, their knowledge and respect of the natural environment, and their singular practices in a contribution to preserving humanity’s intangible heritage.
